The best sushi in the Triangle
It’s Friday night, and I’m still sick. So instead of doing the usual dining out with friends, I’m at home trying to get better. If I could make it out tonight, I’d definitely be searching for some sushi. And that got me thinking: Where’s the best place to get sushi in the Triangle?
In Raleigh, I’ve tried Sushi Blues, Shaba Shabu, Sushi-Thai and Carolina Sushi and Roll. But I’m ready to branch out, so tell me where I should go (or avoid) when I get better.

Sushi Yoshi on 15-501 is pretty special. My fave in the Triangle.

I’ll second that, Sushi Yoshi (map)
There’s a certain place near downtown Durham that everyone always mentions, but I never find the food more than passing or the service more than mediocre.
Way down in Carrboro (well, coming from downtown Raleigh), Akai Hana is terrific. (map)

Mura at north hills has a killer piano roll!

Ugh if you got the flu, you need to be just sitting around. I recommend drinking Airborne too. It really helped me feel better at the time.
But Yeah, you need to be resting! I had to take a week off of work and just slept all day.

If you’re ever in Carrboro, you should check out Akai Hana! It’s amazing.

Lets see:
Kanki, Tokyo House, Mizu
I love the Mizu box lunches and dinners! Plus they have a train that runs around the sushi bar!!

Ginny,
For the best rolls in Durham go to Shiki Sushi.
For a quick outdoor lunch near the Durham ballpark go to Cafe Zen.
Buffet lunch in RTP is available at Con-fusion at the intersection of Alexander and S. Miami Blvd.
If you up around Wake Forest / N Raleigh, definitely check out Mizu.

Although a little pricey, Waraji on Duraleigh Rd is very good.
